Our Gulf wet season is off to a good start in many places, with cyclone Tiffany and the monsoon dropping some good rain here and there.
What’s next? Well, our John McLachlan has been working the forecast models, measuring the Madden Julian Oscillation and the Equatorial Rossby waves to bring you the latest on the Gulf region weather for the next few weeks.
John puts out his seasonal climate outlook each month. You can subscribe to his detailed email outlook, and you can watch the video version here or on our YouTube
John says there’s been good rainfall so far this wet season, and there’s more coming in the short and longer term. Graziers will be pleased to hear of promising pasture forecasts for 2022. And the La Nina will probably last into next month.
