Our climate already changes a lot, but climate change is making this variability go beyond what’s typical for our region.
The Northern Gulf’s environment, economy and communities are already feeling the impacts of a changing climate—with hotter and longer heat waves, much warmer night-time temperatures, and hotter temperatures already happening more often. As average temperatures keep rising, these trends will increase. This will impact our health, infrastructure, businesses, wildlife, and landscapes.Â
This issue is ranked as one of our highest priorities for natural resource management (NRM) across the Northern Gulf region.
