Former Rangelands Project Officer Mandy Pickering has successfully completed her first three months as GSNRM’s new Sustainable Agriculture Facilitator (SAF).
In the SAF role, Mandy is a key contact for promoting climate-smart, sustainable farming in the Northern Gulf, and scoping out region-specific solutions.
‘I’m really looking forward to working with landholders and helping them find practical info or support that suits their needs,’ Mandy said.
‘I want farmers and landholders to know I’m here to help, always happy to have a chat, and can link them with any resources that might assist.’
Mandy is well-versed with being out in the community and fostering partnerships, as she previously worked with producers to explore business plans and build drought resilience on properties for GNRM’s Grazing Futures project.
