Tech to tackle drought

Technology Adoption Officer Keerah Steele recently had the fantastic opportunity to connect with producers, researchers and industry leaders at the Northern Australian Food Futures Conference in Darwin.

Keerah presented her insights into technology innovation for improved drought resilience, contributing to the buzz of real-world solutions for agriculture in our region.

“The tech scanning process is designed to identify, evaluate and support implementation”, she said.

“This ensures that solutions are not only scientifically robust, but practical and relevant for producers in northern systems”.

Keerah also shared how the AgValuate assessment is used to match farmers with the most effective tools for their operation, and how the TEKFARM® initiative provides funding plus implementation assistance to help producers get started.
